For New Students

Degree Programs Offered

A BACHELOR OF ARTS DEGREE (B.A.) IN BIBLICAL STUDIES may be granted for successful completion of 186 quarter units of academic credit.  These include General Education courses (to be transferred in from another academic institution) and core courses in Biblical Studies, Systematic Theology and Applied Theology.  Optional Concentrations in Pastoral Ministry, Christian Education or Christian Counseling are also offered.
 
A MASTER IN BIBLICAL STUDIES DEGREE (M.A.) may be issued for successful completion of 57 quarter units of academic credit in the graduate program to students with an undergraduate degree in biblical studies.  (Students with an undergraduate degree in a different field of study are required to take an additional 45 quarter units from the undergraduate program).  Transfer credit in our degree program may shorten the length of training.

Non-Degree Programs

Non-Degree Certificate Programs

Requires the completion of 12 courses:

  • 3 courses in Biblical Studies
  • 3 courses in General Studies
  • 3 courses in Systematic Theology
  • 3 Elective Courses in Biblical Languages, Pastoral Ministry, Christian Education or Christian Counseling.

No General Education courses are required for a Certificate in Biblical Studies.  Certificate courses taken for credit may later be applied toward a B.A. degree.

ACSI Continuting Education Units

Bay Cities Bible College is listed as a recognized college program by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) for teacher and administrator certification.  Those pursuing teacher certification should contact ACSI for specific course requirements for their certification program.

Notice Concerning Transferability of Credits and Credentials Earned at Our School

The transferability of credits you earn at Bay Cities Bible College is at the complete discretion of an institution to which you may seek to transfer.  Acceptance of the B.A. or M.A. degree you earn in Biblical Studies, Pastoral Ministry or Christian Education is also at the complete discretion of the institution to which you may seek to transfer.  If the credits or degree that you earn at this institution are not accepted at the institution to which you seek to transfer, you may be required to repeat some or all of your coursework at that institution.  For this reason, you should make certain that your attendance at this institution will meet your educational goals.  This may include contacting an institution to which you may seek to transfer after attending Bay Cities Bible College to determine if your B.A. or M.A. degree or academic credits will transfer.
